We have 25+ employees that specialize in designing and developing interactive training and education, including instructional design, computer programming, evaluation and assessment, informatics, graphic arts, and multimedia development.

In 2009 we were #620 on the Inc. 5000 fastest growing private companies, and #11 in education and training.

History

WisdomTools LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Information In Place, Inc. (IIPI).
WisdomTools Inc. was founded in 1998 as a spinout of Indiana University’s Center for Excellence in Education by Dr. Martin Siegel, a pioneer in computer-based education. The mission was simple–to harness the power of story to teach more effectively. Over the next ten years, Wisdomtools Inc. became well known in the eLearning industry as a leader in story-based and contextualized learning technologies and developed an impressive roster of clients, including IBM, Eli Lilly, AT&T, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and many others.

In 1999, Information In Place, Inc. was co-founded by Dr. Sonny Kirkley, Chairman and CEO, and Chris Borland, President and CTO. IIPI was also a spinout from the Indiana University Center for Excellence in Education, and was conceived with a similar, but distinct mission: to develop immersive and augmented reality training and performance support solutions that result in dramatic improvements on performance. In 2008, IIPI acquired WisdomTools Inc. and merged it with IIPI’s training division to form WisdomTools LLC, and the company name was later changed to WisdomTools Inc.

WisdomTools Inc. is an eLearning software and services firm that specializes in using the power of immersive learning technologies to deliver contextual and engaging learning experiences that encourage maximum information retention. For over a decade, WisdomTools has worked with corporate, educational, and government institutions to develop engaging story-based learning.

As a result of its merger with IIPI’s training division, WisdomTools now offers a diverse array of flexible and hybrid learning solutions, including serious games, simulations, micro-games, and mobile solutions. This rebranding effort has given IIPI the freedom to concentrate their efforts on augmented and virtual reality technologies, research, and cognitive task analysis.
